Does Hisab Journey support recurring transactions?

Yes! You can set up automated recurring transactions for regular income, expenses, and transfers. Choose from weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly frequencies. The app automatically creates transaction entries on schedule, perfect for tracking salaries, rent, subscriptions, and more.

Can I track money lent to friends or borrowed from others?

Yes! Hisab Journey has a dedicated Receivables & Debts feature. Track money you've lent (receivables) or borrowed (debts), record partial payments, set due dates, and receive automatic email reminders before due dates. Contacts also get notified when you record a payment.

How do payment reminders work?

When you create a receivable or debt with a due date, you can enable automatic reminders. Set how many days before the due date to send reminders (1-30 days). For receivables, reminders are sent to your contacts. For debts, you receive self-reminders to help you pay on time.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Hisab Journey ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Hisab Journey is a personal finance management application available on web, iOS, and Android that allows users to:

Track income, expenses, and transfers between accounts
Manage multiple bank accounts and financial categories
Set up recurring transactions (income, expenses, transfers) with automatic scheduling
Track subscriptions and autopay charges with automatic renewal reminders (10, 5, 3, and 1 day before each payment)
Create and monitor budgets with spending limits and receive over-budget email and in-app alerts
View financial summaries, reports, and calendar-based transaction history
Get budget rules analysis (50-30-20, 60-30-10 & more) to compare your Needs, Wants & Savings
Secure the app with optional passcode protection (App Lock)
Upload and attach receipts and documents to transactions
Use voice input to add transactions quickly
Scan receipts using your camera for automatic data entry
Export financial data
Access your data across all devices with real-time sync

3. User Accounts

3.1 Registration

To use certain features, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in fraudulent activity.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the Service only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
Not interfere with or disrupt the Service
Not transmit any malicious code or content
Not use the Service to violate any applicable laws
Keep your login credentials secure and confidential

5. Subscription Plans & Payments

5.1 Trial Period

New users receive a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. No credit card or payment information is required to start the trial. You will receive email reminders before your trial expires.

5.2 Paid Subscription

After the trial period, a paid subscription is required to continue using all features. Current pricing is displayed on our website and within the app. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers.

5.3 Payment Methods

All payments are processed securely through Razorpay, India's leading payment gateway. We accept:

Credit and Debit Cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay, American Express)
UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and other UPI apps)
Net Banking from all major Indian banks
Popular wallets (Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, etc.)

Payment Security: Razorpay is PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant, the highest level of security certification in the payments industry. We never store your card details, CVV, UPI PIN, or banking credentials on our servers.

5.4 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly basis. Your subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled. You will receive payment confirmation via email after each successful transaction.

5.5 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page in the app. Upon cancellation:

Your access continues until the end of your current billing period
No further charges will be made to your payment method
Your data remains stored securely and accessible in read-only mode
You can resubscribe at any time to restore full access

5.6 Refund Policy

We offer refunds on a case-by-case basis under the following conditions:

Refund requests must be made within 7 days of payment
Contact us at support@hisabjourney.com with your registered email and reason for the request
Approved refunds are processed within 5-7 business days
Refunds are credited to the original payment method used

5.7 Failed Payments

If a payment fails, we will attempt to notify you via email. Your subscription remains active for a grace period of 3 days to allow you to update your payment method. After this period, your account will be moved to read-only mode until payment is successfully processed.

5.8 Data After Expiry

If your subscription expires or is cancelled, your data is NOT deleted. You can continue to log in and view your data in read-only mode. Full access is restored immediately upon resubscribing.

6. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Hisab Journey and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

7. User Data and Data Entry

You retain ownership of all data you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely for providing the Service to you.

7.1 Manual Data Entry

Hisab Journey is a manual financial tracking application. All transaction data, account information, and financial records are entered manually by you, the user. We do NOT connect to, access, or retrieve data from any banks, financial institutions, or third-party financial services.

7.2 No Bank Integration

Important: Hisab Journey has no connection, integration, or affiliation with any bank or financial institution. Bank account names you create in the app are for your organizational purposes only and do not represent actual connections to those banks. We cannot access your bank accounts, view your bank statements, or perform any banking operations.

7.3 Data Security

Encryption: Your financial data is encrypted using AES-256-GCM encryption before being stored in our database. This means your sensitive financial information is protected and cannot be read in plain text, even by us. See our Privacy Policy for details.

7.4 User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for:

The accuracy and completeness of all data you enter into the Service
Keeping your account credentials secure and confidential
Maintaining backup copies of your important financial records outside the Service
Verifying that the data in the Service matches your actual financial records

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Hisab Journey is a financial tracking and budgeting tool only. We do not provide financial or investment advice. The insights, budget recommendations, and recurring transaction features are for informational and convenience purposes only and should not be considered professional financial advice. 8.2 Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Hisab Journey is not responsible for:

Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in the data you enter
Financial decisions made based on information displayed in the Service
Discrepancies between the data in the Service and your actual financial records
Any losses or damages resulting from reliance on the Service's calculations, insights, or reports

8.3 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hisab Journey shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
